LEWISTON – Winners from Week #1 of the Maine Table Tennis League at the Multi-Purpose Center were as follows: Table 1, Patty Prescott. Table 2, Chuck Needham. Table 3, Taylor Wilk. Table 4, Ralph Comeau.

The strongest players are assigned to Table 1. When a player wins a table, he or she automatically graduates to the next highest table the following week.

There is ample room for additional players. More than 60 players ages 9 to 73 were represented in the league last season. League play takes place on Monday nights, with open practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Players are assigned a computer ranking according to ability, similar to the system used by USA Table Tennis, and everyone from beginner to accomplished player is welcome.
