BRISTOL, N.H. (AP) – Authorities said 18 middle-school children and a bus driver suffered minor injuries in a school bus accident Friday.

Authorities said the injured in Bristol were taken to hospitals for evaluation. The pupils were from McKelvie Middle School in Bedford and were on a five-bus field trip to Cardigan Mountain in Alexandria.

Police said the buses were eastbound on Route 104 and the first four came to a stop in a construction zone. The fifth bus slammed into the fourth bus, pushing it into the third bus.

Meanwhile in Belmont, police said a minor crash between a school bus and a car Thursday sent seven children to the hospital for evaluation.
