NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – Police on Thursday arrested a 62-year-old man they described the city’s heroin kingpin.

Frank Carter used to manage a local doughnut shop, but police said that for the last year, he ruled the city’s heroin business.

“Mr. Carter has been the main dealer, the main supplier to a large portion of our heroin-abusing community,” Lt. William Moore said.

Police said Carter’s arrest came after a three-month investigation and six other people were taken into custody.

Police said other arrests are anticipated.
