FARMINGTON – Evelyn H. Savage, 84, died Friday evening, Sept. 30, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, in Farmington, where she had been a patient for the past four days, following a six-week illness.

She was a former resident of Livermore Falls, residing at Parkview Nursing Home for several years, then transferring to Victorian Villa Nursing Home in Canton.

She was born April 30, 1921, in Carthage, the daughter of Elmer and Lena (Webster) Wills. She attended school in Livermore.

On July 24, 1941, she married Gilbert A. Savage in Fayette. He passed away Jan. 27, 1996.

She and her husband made their home and raised their family in South Livermore, living there for more than 50 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She enjoyed bingo, harness racing and World Wide Wrestling. She also attended many of her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Evelyn was loved by all that knew her.

She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Lee and her husband, Clayton, of Buckfield, Priscilla Savage of Jay, Mary Lee and her husband, Lawrence, of Leeds, and Gaylene Rich and her husband, Alan, of Livermore; a son, Linwood Savage and his wife, Janet, of Livermore; a brother, Roland Wills of Poland; and two sisters, Alma Chandler of Antrim, N.H., and Frances Schmidt of Livermore Falls; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Mabel Adams of Livermore Falls.
