LEWISTON – A surprise party was held recently for Dan and Jackie Blais of Lewiston, on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary.

Party hosts were mother of Mr. Blais, Priscilla Blais and daughter and son of the couple, Lyndsay Blais and Ross Blais. The event was held at New Hope Bible Church in Lewiston.

Lyndsay Blais made up a bouquet of silk flowers and ribbon, similar to the original bridal bouquet. The head table was decorated with silver candelabras, glass gems and silver 25th anniversary confetti. Toastmasters were Lyndsay Blais, daughter, and Mike Blais, brother of Mr. Blais.

Mr. Blais and the former Jacqueline Dugal were married on June 27, 1980, at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston.

The couple received a scrapbook compiled and beautifully designed by their daughter and twin sister of Mrs. Blais, Connie Ouellette. Other special gifts included 25th wedding anniversary engraved goblets, cake server and knife set, monetary gifts, porcelain photo frames and an engraved photo album.

Mrs. Blais is the daughter of Pauline Dugal of Lewiston and the late Gerard Dugal. She is a licensed home daycare provider and is a member of New Hope Bible Church in Lewiston.

Mr. Blais is the son of Priscilla Blais of Lewiston and the late Paul Blais. He is employed in Yarmouth at Maine Technical Source and is a sales support manager. He is an elder at New Hope Bible Church.

Original wedding attendants present were Connie Ouellette, twin sister of Mrs. Blais, who was matron of honor, and Celine Berry, another sister, who was bridesmaid. Also attending were Ray and Bert Dugal, brothers of Mrs. Blais, who gave her in marriage 25 years ago. Many family members and friends attended, including two sisters of Mrs. Blais, Paulette Gravel and Nicky Niva.

The guests of honor celebrated their anniversary with a vacation trip to Nassau in the Bahamas.
