NORWAY – Edmond J. Bedard, 85, of South Paris, died Saturday evening, Oct. 1, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Norway, April 23, 1920, the son of Nazaire and Celinaire Demers Bedard.

He attended Norway schools and faithfully served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II flying 46 bombing missions.

Edmond worked as a machinest at Brown Turning Co., and then worked as a television repairman. He was very musically inclined and played with the Richard Felt Orchestra and the Bedard Trio at area nursing homes and granges.

On June 21, 1947, he married Irene Abbott. She died Nov. 16, 2000.

Survivors include a son, Peter and his wife, Joan, of Manchester; two granddaughters, Keli Young of Lisbon, and Jennifer Bedard of Charlotte, N.C.; a grandson, Peter J. Bedard of Manchester; a great-granddaughter, Darian Lavoie of Lisbon; one brother, Emile “Bill” and his wife, Lona, of Norway.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Nazaire and Francis; and a sister, Anna Bedard.
