RUMFORD – Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 and Rumford Parks Department recently sponsored the Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick competition at Hosmer Field. Punt, Pass & Kick is a national competition open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15, who compete against their peers in football skills.

All participants received a certificate for competing, with ribbons presented to the top three in each age division. Each participant was given one opportunity to punt, one chance to pass and one kick, with scores based on distance and accuracy. Final score was the combined total from all three segments.

First-place winners advance to the sectional championship, also held at Hosmer Field, on Sunday, Oct. 16.

Results were as follows:

8-9 Boys: 1. Caleb Gauvin 149-9; 2. Gavin Arsenault 128-5; 3. Tyler McInnis 91-5.

10-11 Boys: 1. Justin Milligan 182-2; 2. Jack Brown 177-9; 3. Kyle Duguay 173-5.

10-11 Girls: 1. Christine Briggs 201-6; 2. Shannon Laubauskas 120-10; 3. Makaila Conley 80-7.

12-13 Boys: 1. Ryan Laubauskas 311-7; 2. Hanson Gorham 207-0; 3. Derek Volkernick 197-9.

12-13 Girls: 1. Tia White 139-10; 2. Mariah Briggs 91-8.

14-15 Boys: 1. Matthew Laubauskas 367-11; 2. Tyler White 199-2.
