LEWISTON – Raymond L. Chouinard, 68, of 123 Spring St., died Friday, Sept. 30, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side, after a five-year battle with cancer.

He was born in St. Theophile, Quebec, to Joseph and Clementine (Loubier) Chouinard.

On July 08, 1961, he married Estelle F. Boucher at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.

He owned and operated his own trucking business. After retiring from trucking, he worked at Miller Industries. He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club and his interests were fishing, antique cars and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family at his camp in North New Portland.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Estelle; daughters, Louise Giguere and husband, William, of Auburn, Nancy M. Chouinard and companion, John-Paul LeBlanc, of Lewiston, Julie Bergeron and husband, Marcel, of Monmouth, and Diane Chouinard of Sabattus; grandchildren, Angie, Raymond, Shawn, Sonia, Krystal, Kyle and Dustin; great-granddaughter, Mikayla; sister, Lauretta Chouinard and sister-in-law, Juliette Chouinard, both of Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Adrianne and Jeannie; brother, Eugene; and brother-in-law, Magloire.
