WESTPORT – Tania Colleen Russell, 43, of Westport, formerly of Augusta, went home peacefully to be with the Lord with her daughter by her side on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, following a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was a wonderful, loving and inspirational mother and friend, always helping, sharing and giving. She attended Lewiston and Richmond high schools, married and had her daughter Amy.

She was a homemaker and also worked at PALS Animal Shelter before her fourth diagnosis of a brain tumor.

Tania enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked cooking goodies with her nieces and nephews. Taking shopping trips, long walks, going out to dinner, and collecting crackle glass, and having heart-to-heart talks with her daughter were her specialties.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Russell, and her fianc, Kevin Arsenault, of Westport Island; her father, Rusty Beck of Lisbon; three brothers, Rudy Langelier, his wife, Cindy, and their two daughters, Cassidy and Randi-Anne, all of Leeds, Larry Langelier, his partner Trudy Caouette, his two children, L.J. and Lacey, of Poland, and Jay Beck of Lisbon; also Steve Bickford, her companion, and Rocky, her dog and lap warmer, of Augusta; and two of her closest friends, Marie Arsenault of Pittston, and Cathy Michaud of Litchfield.

She was predeceased by her biological father, Rudolph Langelier, and her mother, Meredith Beck.

She will be greatly missed and will always be thought of with warm, cherishable memories.
