WINDHAM – Houston Astros minor leaguer and Oxford Hills graduate Eric Cavers will be signing autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Sun Deck restaurant on Route 302 in North Windham.

There will be no charge for his autograph.

Cavers, a catcher, was drafted by the Astros in the 10th round of the 2004 draft.

In this, his second year of professional baseball, he played for the Tri-City Valley Cats, a Single-A affiliate of the Astros.

He returned from off-season shoulder surgery and played in 29 games, batting .228 with 11 RBIs.

Cavers was drafted out of Franklin Pierce College, where he was a Division II All-American while earning the Northeast Region and Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year awards in 2004.
