LEWISTON – Cecile Barnett, 94, formerly of 24 7th St., Auburn, died Thursday evening, Oct. 6, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Lewiston on May 22, 1911, the daughter of Pierre O. and Marie Richard Bonneau. She was educated in local schools and was married to Walton F. Barnett on Sept. 7, 1935; he predeceased her on Oct. 4, 1985.

Prior to her retirement in 1974, she was employed in the packing room at Bates Manufacturing Co., for 26 years.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s parish, New Auburn Senior Citizens and the Seniors bowling league. She enjoyed playing beano, cards, her flower garden and feeding birds.

She is survived by a son, Clark Barnett and his wife, Mary, of Manchester, N.H.; her former daughter-in-law, Joyce Barnett of Sabattus; grandchildren, Michael Barnett, Pamela Emmons and her husband, Daniel, and Ellen Papanikolaou and her husband, Paul; stepgrandchildren, Ron Barnett, Jean Lass and her husband, Jeff, and Daniel Barnett and his wife, Susan; great-grandchildren, Sara and Courtney Barnett, Joshua Emmons and his wife, Lacey, Amie Emmons and her companion, Todd Sherry, Andrew and Eric Angione, and Nicole and Alexander Papanikolaou; stepgreat-grandchildren, Catherine Lass, and Michael, Mark and Ian Barnett; and great-great-grandson, Connor Emmons.

She was also predeceased by a stepgrandson, Michael Barnett; a great-great-grandson, Camden Emmons; a sister, Helena Noel; and a brother, Arthur Bonneau.
