AUBURN – The wedding of Amanda Kay Alden and Robert Steven Howard was held at 11 a.m. on June 25 at Lost Valley Lodge. The Rev. Chester Garrison officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Howard is the daughter of Linda and Jim Harris of Chesterville and Ken and Robbin Alden of Windham. Mr. Howard is the son of Craig and Laura Howard of Philadelphia, N.Y.
The bride, given in marriage by her brothers, Steven and Ben Alden and her father, Ken Alden, wore a white satin halter gown with V neckline and beading on the bodice. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.
Ashley Alden, a cousin of the bride, served as honor attendant and bridesmaids were Katie Mason, friend, and Rebekah Bubier and Sarah Bubier, cousins. Marlaina Eustis, cousin, was junior bridesmaid.
James Duncan, friend, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Christopher Perron, cousin of the bride and friend of the bridegroom, Steven Alden and Ben Alden, brothers of the bride, and Joshua Howard, brother of the bridegroom.
A reception followed at Lost Valley. The couple is planning a wedding trip after the bridegroom returns from Iraq.
The bride is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner and is currently employed at Lever’s Daycare in Lewiston.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Indian River High School in Philadelphia, N.Y., and is currently serving in the U.S. Army, deployed to Iraq.
