LEWISTON – Cecile M. Berube, 58, formerly of 2 Oxbow Drive, Lewiston, died Saturday morning, Oct. 8, at d’Youville Pavilion following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 31, 1946, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Chamberlain) Aube. She attended schools in Lewiston and was a graduate of Lewiston High School in 1964. She later attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing.

She married Joseph W. Berube Jr. on March 25, 1970.

She worked for many years at Maison Marcotte as a certified medical technician.

She was a member of Holy Family Church.

Cecile enjoyed cooking, knitting, making rosary beads for people, and loved being with her family who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph, of Lewiston; her mother, Irene Aube, of Lewiston; her daughter, Angela Gagne and her husband, David, of Lewiston; her son, Jimmy and his wife, Lisa, of Lewiston; her sister, Theresa Hood and her husband, David, of North Carolina; her brother, Henry Aube and his wife, Cindy, of Auburn; her grandchildren, Anthony of Lewiston, Ricky of Kenduskeag and Heather of Brewer; two great-grandchildren, Stephen and Arriana; a brother-in-law, Bob Berube and his wife, Lauren, of Lewiston; and two nieces, Stephanie and Christine Hood of North Carolina.
