AUBURN – Three people were taken to hospitals Saturday after a three-car accident on Route 4.

Police said Harold Woodward, 38, of Athens, didn’t see the oncoming traffic when he pulled out of Turner Street and onto Route 4 shortly after noon. His car struck a 2000 Chevrolet driven by 26-year-old Nicolas Nickerson of Turner. Nickerson’s car spun and hit a 2002 Kia driven by 36-year-old Christopher Jennings of Auburn.

Jennings and Woodward’s passenger, 38-year-old Joan Judd of Athens, were taken to local hospitals. A third person was also injured, but Auburn police couldn’t verify Saturday night who that person was. No injuries were considered life-threatening.

Damages were estimated at $3,000 to Woodward’s 2000 Dodge; $10,000 to Nickerson’s Chevrolet and $6,000 to Jennings’ Kia.
