• A 2001 Saab driven by Robert Cushman, 56, of Rumford, sustained $4,000 damage when he hit a deer as he was driving north on Route 120 at 8:10 p.m. on Sept. 17.

• Sept. 25, 9:57 a.m., a 1997 Hyundai, operated by Jeremy Childs, 18, of Rumford, collided with a 1997 Toyota Camry, driven by Jean Barrington, 80, of Rumford, on Prospect Avenue. Barrington was taken by Med-Care Ambulance to Rumford Hospital for minor cuts, Childs was not injured. Damage to the Hyundai was estimated at $4,000; to the Toyota, $8,000.

• Oct. 2, 7:45 a.m.: A 1999 Pontiac sedan, driven by Chastity Murphy, 30, of Mexico, collided with a moose on Route 108 near the Rumford-Peru town line. Murphy, who complained of pain, was taken by Med-Care Ambulance to Rumford Hospital. The moose landed on the roof, flattening it and the windshield, then ran into the woods. The car sustained an estimated $4,000 damage and was totaled.

Incidents

• Two handguns, an Xbox system and a Nintendo GameCube system were reported stolen 6:26 a.m. Sept. 24 from an Essex Avenue apartment that was forcibly entered. The burglary and thefts are believed to have occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning.
