STRONG – Stanley G. Reynolds, 90, of Strong, died Monday morning, Oct. 10, at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center, Farmington.

He was born May 12, 1915, in North Anson, a son of the late Herbert and Agnes (Stetson) Reynolds.

He attended school in Madrid and during World War II, and served with U.S. Army Air Corps.

On May 12, 1935, he married the former Dorothy May Burdin in Auburn.

For 13 years, he was employed with Strong Wood Turning and then worked in the Machine Shop at Forster Manufacturing for more than 14 years until he retired in 1978.

He was a member of Blue Mountain Masonic Lodge in Phillips, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Knights of Pythias.

He was past commander and life member of the Johnson Cox American Legion Post. He was a former member of the Strong Rifle Club. For many years, he was a volunteer with the Strong Fire Department.

He loved to fish, hunt, go camping, and build wooden novelties.

In addition to his wife of more than 70 years he is survived by three sons, S. Eugene Reynolds and his wife, Betsy, of Brewer, Jack Reynolds, and his wife, Nancy, of Hermon, Michael Reynolds, and his wife, Theone, of Jay; a daughter, Mary Anne Rice, of Bath; a brother, Edmund Reynolds, of Farmington; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
