STRATTON – A Stratton man turned himself in Saturday afternoon after a report of a domestic assault was investigated earlier in the day, according to Detective David St. Laurent of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.

Craig Cowper, 23, was charged with terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, Class D assault, Class C aggravated assault, obstructing report of a crime and violation of conditions of release. He was taken to the Franklin County County Jail, where he is being held on $6,000 cash bail.

Cowper allegedly assaulted a woman and two small children around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Laurent said Monday. He was also reported to have made a threat with a household knife.
