MEXICO – The women of Stephens High School class of 1943 will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Dick’s Restaurant.

Reading set

RUMFORD – Pennacook Art Center will host a reading and book signing by Andover resident Angelo J. Kaltsos at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21. Kaltsos will read from his novel, “Music You Will Never Hear: A Modern Greek Tragedy,” and his poetry book, “Unfurling Leaves of the Mind.” The novel tells the true story of his uncle’s tragically wasted life. Need donations

MEXICO – The University College Rumford/Mexico Center’s SOC 305 Group Process class is seeking donations. A rummage/lawn sale to benefit the Rumford/Mexico scholarship fund will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the college parking lot, adjacent to St. Theresa’s Church, 9 Brown St.

Anyone who has treasures, books or articles to donate may drop them off at the UMA Rumford/Mexico Center or call 364-7882 or 364-7883 to schedule a local pick-up by Friday, Oct. 21.
