ROXBURY – The Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at the Roxubury fire station.

Society speaker

CARTHAGE – The Carthage Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, for a potluck supper.

Following a short business meeting, Robert Payne of Carthage will tell about his recent trip to South America with the National Geographic Society. It is open to the public.

Public hearing

UPTON – The Upton Planning Board will conduct a public hearing to discuss the adoption of a proposed site review plan.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Upton School building. Copies of the new plan will be available at the town office during office hours.

Bowling results

RUMFORD – Sunday Wonders bowling results for Sept. 25 were: high single, Karen Fitzherbert 119; high triple, Karen Fitzherbert 330; special, Rosanne Young. Oct. 2: high single, Karen Turner 138; high triple, Karen Turner 341; special, Donna Errington. Oct. 9: high single, Karen Fitzherbert and Sheryl Vaughan tie with 121; high triple, Bunny Lufkin, 309; special, Patty Blaisdell.

Luncheon set

PERU – The Families in Crisis Task Force community luncheon will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the Rockemeka Grange, 92 Peru Center Road. It will not be Monday, Oct. 17.

The menu will include ham, potatoes, vegetable and dessert.

Donations will be accepted.
