LEWISTON – The Centreville Neighborhood Association is preparing for the fourth annual Downtown Trick or Treat Celebration from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. During this time period, a number of area businesses located from Chestnut to Main streets and Park to Canal streets will welcome trick-or-treaters.

The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will be taking free photos of all participating trick-or-treaters. The Lewiston Police Department will be in the area as a safety precaution. Volunteers will be available to answer questions and provide directions throughout the trick or treat route.

Last year 42 businesses participated by handing out treats to more than 200 youngsters from the Lewiston-Auburn area. Anyone interested in participating should call the chamber at 783-2249 for more information.
