LEWISTON – Margaret Jane Wallace, 60, of Auburn, died on Oct. 13, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 24, 1945, in Newburgh, N.Y., the daughter of Franklin J. and Ruth J. (Earle) Brockwell.

She was self-employed for many years as a graphic artist. She enjoyed handcrafts, such as knitting, cross-stitching and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, including gardening and fishing.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Dave Wallace; son, Robert August and his wife, Pamela, of Poland; daughter, Jeanette August and her husband, Michael D. Hynes, of Auburn; and grandchildren, Kaitlynn August and Michael R. Hynes.
