LEWISTON – Marie C. Dumond Theriault, 81, died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 11, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1924, in Fort Kent, a daughter of Felix and Flevie (Saucier) Dumond. Following her graduation from Fort Kent High School, she lived in Connecticut for several years before settling in Lewiston.

She worked at Raytheon’s in the quality assurance division, and in later years enjoyed working seasonally at Black Point Inn in Scarborough and Hillsboro Club in Pompano Beach, Fla.

She loved traveling and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler and liked to dance and play cards. She enjoyed the outdoors – taking long walks on the beach or working in her yard and garden.

She is survived by her sons, Edward and his wife, Janet, of Auburn, and Bradley and his wife, Karen, of Green Valley Lake, Calif.; grandchildren, Amy and her husband, Fermin Vega, of Loma Linda, Calif., Kyle, also of Loma Linda, Calif., Nathan and his wife, Shannon Smith, of Rochester, N.Y., and Zo of Auburn; sisters, Emily Ouellette of Lewiston and Cecile Doustou of Fort Kent; one brother, Pat and his wife, Theresa, of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Heather; three sisters; and three brothers.
