LEWISTON – Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will see the talent of Antonio Rocha at a meeting at noon Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Ramada Inn.

A native of Brazil, Rocha began his career in the performing arts in 1985 and received a Partners of the Americas grant to come to the USA in 1988 to study under master mime Tony Montanara. He graduated summa cum laude from the theater program at the University of Southern Maine and studied with master Marcel Marceau.

Rocha’s shows of stories and mime have been performed in Singapore, Vancouver, Aruba, Washington, D.C., Austria, Holland and many other venues. He is a member of the Maine Arts Commission, the New England Foundation for the Arts and the National Storytelling Association.

The public is welcome to join club members for Rocha’s presentation. Anyone who would like to learn more about Rotary is welcome to attend any Thursday. The cost of the luncheon is $8 a person.
