LEWISTON – Mary E. Preston, 77, a resident of Preston Road, Wilton, died early Saturday morning, Oct. 15, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, where she had been a patient for three years.
She was born on March 28, 1928, in Salem, the daughter of Royden and Lillian (Lockland) Ellsworth. She was a graduate of Kingfield High School.
On Nov. 20, 1954, she married Charles J. Preston Jr., in Kennebunk. Last year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
She worked at G.H. Bass Shoe Co., retiring in 1990. She was a member of the East Wilton Union and the Sawyer Memorial in Greene.
She enjoyed traveling, doing day trips, walking and working around their home.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, of Wilton; and her brother, John A. Ellsworth of Kennebunk.
She was predeceased by her parents.
