Club speaker
FARMINGTON – The Mt. Blue Area Garden Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 18, downstairs at the Farmington Municipal Building. Refreshments and a social half hour will be followed by a program on irises.
The presenter will be Bob Sawyer, an iris enthusiast from Harpswell. Sawyer is a hybridizer and member of the Maine Iris Society, who has received the Dr. McEwen Award for one of his Siberian irises.
Haunted House
RANGELEY – The Haunted House at the Wilhelm Reich Museum’s Conference Center on Dodge Pond Road will be open to visitors from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
Visit with a mummy in his tomb, dance with the ghost, watch for flying witches, ghosts and bats. Play Halloween games like “Ghost Down Cellar” and “Mail A Spook, go on a Scavenger Hunt, collect all items and win an ice cream and go on a hayride.
Admission is $5 a person. Refreshments will be on sale. FMI call 864-3443.
