Acadian food, music on tap

RUMFORD – Prince Edward Island Night will be held at 5 p.m. today as part of the the centennial celebration of St. Athanasius and St. John Church.

Featured will be poutines, a potato dish; chiard, a potato, beef and pork dish; and other foods with an Acadian flavor.

Also available will be homemade baked beans, hot dogs and assorted desserts. Acadian music will be provided by Jim Roy and Jody Kasregis, followed by country western dance music. The celebration is open to the public. Admission is $6.
