NORWAY – Valerlee Ring Andrews, 89, of Norway, died Thursday, Oct. 20, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Greenwood on June 5, 1916, the daughter of John Henry and Norine Rogers Ring. Her father was a farmer and they lived in Westbrook and Woodsford for a number of years, then moved back to Greenwood. She attended schools in Woodsford and Greenwood, and graduated from West Paris High School.

She worked for the former Penley Brothers for nearly 50 years.

She married Stanley O. Andrews on July 3, 1936; he passed away on June 19, 1985.

She is survived by two daughters, Starr Norine Green and her husband, Edward, of Portland, and Donna Mae Eaton of South Paris; three granddaughters, Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Maureen Lynn Coyne) Walker of West Buxton, Dawn Marie Eaton, and Amanda Lee Cormier and her husband, Joseph, all of South Paris; five great-grandsons, Nicholas Thomas Walker, Branden Fredric Walker and Jordan Edward Walker, all of West Buxton, Cole David Everett of South Paris and Thatcher Cormier of South Paris; a great-granddaughter, Allysha Cormier of South Paris; a brother, Durward O. Ring and his wife, Maude Ring, of Concord, N.H.; twin sisters, Beryl Waisanen of Oxford and Sheryl Waisanen and her husband, Henry, of West Paris; sister, Alice Johnson and her husband, Clifton, of Oakland; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father in 1964; a brother, John Milton Ring, in 1978; and her mother in 1995.
