Area pedestrian advocates are looking for help rating Twin Cities walking paths.

Walkers are encouraged to fill out an audit rating the path on their favorite walk, the ease with which they crossed streets and to note any problems they found.

The results will be part of a report compiled by Healthy Androscoggin and presented to the Androscoggin Transportation Resource Center.

The survey is available for download at the group’s Web site, www.healthyandroscoggin.org. It can be faxed, mailed or e-mailed back to the organization.

The survey is a follow-up to a series of walkabilty seminars in Lewiston-Auburn last month, performed by the National Center for Bicycling and Walking. Speakers from that group met with eight different sets of Twin Cities residents to discuss walking paths in town and to help rate certain neighborhoods.

Healthy Androscoggin will be giving a prize away to encourage people taking the survey. People who participate will have their names entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift certificate.
