FARMINGTON – Everyone’s Resource Depot will hold Halloween mask-making workshops from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 27 and 28, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29. The depot is located in Franklin Hall at the corner of Main and South streets on the UMF campus.
Many samples will be on display to show how to start masks using cardboard, paper strips, boxes, paper bags and fabric. Participants will be able to decorate their masks with a variety of materials, such as felt, ribbon, leather, fleece, colorful foam pieces, shiny paper and buttons.
All ages are welcome. A fee of $1 will be charged, which includes all materials.
During October, the depot features lots of materials and ideas for making costumes, masks and Halloween decorations. Anyone working with children in school or community groups is welcome to visit during business hours from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
