RUMFORD – Hazel June Cook, 74, a resident of Rumford Community Home, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Rumford Community Hospital, where she was a patient for nine days and received wonderful care.

She was born in Oquossoc on June 30, 1931, the daughter of Valentine I. and Hazel E. Mitchell Robinson, and attended the schools of Jay and Livermore Falls.

She worked at Livermore Shoe Co. in Livermore Falls and Norwalk Shoe Co. in North Jay, and also worked as a waitress.

She always enjoyed cooking and having family dinners.

She is survived by two sons, Edward R. Robinson of Canton and Patrick M. Kenney of Carthage; two daughters, Nancy J. Kenney of Canton and Valerie Drown of Lewiston; a brother, Ralph Robinson of Bloomfield, Conn.; a sister, Loretta Mercier and her husband, Roland, of Livermore Falls; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her good friend, Eugene Grover.

She was predeceased by a son, Dana A. Kenney, who passed away on June 26, 1971; two brothers, Harry and William Robinson; and a sister, Mary Bowman.
