Bangor ex-pastor charged with theft
BANGOR (AP) – A former pastor who built a Bangor church from 22 members to one of the city’s largest has been arrested in Georgia and charged with stealing more than $100,000 from the church.
The Rev. Ron Durham, 59, allegedly used a church credit card between 2000 and 2003 for travel that included cruises outside the United States, stays at hotels, restaurant meals and bar tabs, according to Penobscot County Deputy District Attorney Michael Roberts.
N.H. waters may get speed limit
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Speed limits of 45 mph during the day and 25 mph at night have been recommended in a bill affecting New Hampshire’s lakes and rivers.
The bill, narrowly approved by a committee of lawmakers 11-10, allows exceptions for sanctioned boat racing and emergency vessels.
The House will consider the bill next year.
