ROXBURY – Gilbert “Lee” Hodgkins Jr., 37, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, Oct. 25, at his home on River Street in Roxbury.
He was born in Rumford on April 10, 1968, the son of Gilbert and Viola (Hutchins) Hodgkins Sr., and graduated from Mexico High School in the Class of 1987.
He was a member of the Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club and the ATV Club of Roxbury. He loved the outdoors, especially snowmobiling.
He was a heavy equipment operator and was most recently employed as a waste manager at Pine Tree Waste out of Portland.
Survivors include a son, Kyle Hodgkins; mother, Viola Hodgkins; father, Gilbert Hodgkins Sr.; sister, Lisa Jamison and husband, Bruce; niece and godchild, Katie Ricci and husband, Brandon; and nephew, Kevin Jamison, all of Roxbury; and his companion, Carey Sylvester of Peru.
He was predeceased by a sister, Penny Lynn Hodgkins.
