Accidents
Lewiston

• Vehicles driven by Lorretta J. Jean, 75, of N. Fort Meyers, Fla., and Linda C. Viles, 44, of 22 W. Birch Lane, Lewiston, collided at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Howe and Pine streets. Damage to Jean’s red 2000 Ford four-door was estimated at $2,000. Damage to Viles’ maroon 1997 Ford four-door was estimated at $1,500.

Auburn

• A red 1994 Jeep SUV driven by Gregory Cabot, 51, of 193 Main St., Auburn, swerved off of Mt. Auburn Avenue just east of Gracelawn Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, colliding with a utility pole there. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Police said Cabot had fallen asleep.

• A red 1994 Chevrolet four-door driven by Brandin Morin, 18, of 19 Russell St., went out of control while driving outbound on Lake Street at 4 a.m. Saturday. The car first collided with a utility pole, then a tree and then a brown Dodge 2001 truck belonging to Churchill Barton of 202 Lake St. Damage to Morin’s car was estimated at $10,000. Damage to Barton’s truck was estimated at $1,500.
