LEWISTON – Marcel Blais has been promoted to chief operating officer at Northeast Bancorp, parent company of Northeast Bank. He will be responsible for the day-to-day customer operations of the bank.
In this newly created position, Blais will oversee and develop the sales and delivery strategies for each of the company’s lines of business. Capitalizing on the company’s strong financial status, Blais will work to strengthen the overall sales operations, product delivery systems and service levels.
Blais has been with Northeast Bank for eight years as senior vice president of Retail Banking, and has more than 28 years in banking, formerly with Casco Northern Bank and Bank of Boston. He attended the University of Maine, Augusta and pursued courses through the American Institute for Banking.
Blais is a lifetime Maine resident and has been associated with many professional and community organizations over the years. He is currently on the Advisory Board for Lewiston’s Colisee and active in Androscoggin Relay for Life. He is also a past president for the Sanford Rotary and past vice chair of the Sanford / Springvale Chamber of Commerce. Blais resides in Lewiston with his wife, Janice, and their children, Brian and Amanda.
