LISBON – Selectmen will convene a special town meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, for voters to act on seven articles dealing with ordinance changes and the acceptance of new roads.
The meeting will be in the Lisbon Community School cafeteria on Mill Street in Lisbon Center.
Townspeople will be asked to accept these streets as town roads: Willow Circle, about 700 feet, including a turnaround; Polar Circle, 1,550 feet including a turnaround; and Hemlock Street, 600 feet, all in the Winter Park subdivision.
Also, Patron Terrace, 543 feet, including turnaround; and an extension of Hinkley Street, 400 feet, including turnaround. All were built to town road standards and acceptance is contingent upon presentation of warranty deeds and acceptance of deeds by the Board of Selectmen. The remaining articles seek zoning, land-use, building code and vending ordinance changes.
