ORONO – The University of Maine men’s and women’s basketball teams were selected third and second, respectively, in the America East preseason coaches poll released Tuesday.

Albany was selected to win the men’s title, while Hartford received the most votes on the women’s side.

In addition, Kevin Reed was selected to the America East All-Conference team. He was joined on the team by Albany’s Lucious Jordan and Jamar Wilson, Binghamton’s Andre Heard and BU’s Shaun Wynn.

Sea Dogs tickets on sale Nov. 5

PORTLAND – The Portland Sea Dogs will place their individual game tickets for the 2006 season on sale Saturday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m. at the Hadlock Field box office.

Phone and internet orders begin Monday, Nov. 7, at 9 a.m. Tickets for the new U.S. Cellular Pavillion in right field will not go on sale until early 2006.

Individual game ticket prices remain unchanged from last season. Box seat tickets are $8 per adult, while seniors 62 and over along with children 16 and under can have a box seat for $7. Other seating options include reserved seating, available for $7 per adult and $6 for kids.

Returning in 2006 are the Sea Dogs Five-Game Ticket Packages. These packages will guarantee the same seat for all games within the package. General Admission seats can be obtained at a price of $6 for adults and $3 for kids and seniors.
