PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. – Gerard B. Giguere, 83, of Lopatcong Township, N.J., died Nov. 2 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, N.J.
Born in Lewiston on May 28, 1922, he was the son of Donatien and Berthe Legendre Giguere. He was a graduate of Assumption Prep and Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. He received a law degree from Catholic University Law School in Washington, D.C.
He was an attorney and was employed at Corporation Trust Co. in New York City, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Brakeley Garden Tenants Organization and St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, N.J.
He was married to the former Constance Dumont. They were married 53 years on July 21. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Constance Dumont Giguere; children, Louise Belair of Kennett Square, Pa., Helene Meissner and her husband, James, of Phillipsburg, N.J., Jeanne Hagen of Lopatcong Township, N.J., Marc Giguere and his wife, Lauren, of Schnecksville, Pa., and Richard Giguere and his wife, Dina, of Manasquan, N.J.; siblings, Paul Giguere and his wife, Marianne, of Rockville, Md., Therese Giguere of Lewiston, Jackie Csoros of Lewiston, and Germaine Radomski of South Portland; 15 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
