Daylight-saving time and winter pork barrel time! Summer in Maine, also known as daylight-saving time, helps all the low- and fixed-income people save money on their electricity bills. Why, then, are the people burdened with setting back the time when doing so greatly increases their cost of electricity?

Oil and gas prices are ridiculous now. Wouldn’t it be nice if our state would keep daylight-saving time all year round? There’s a smell of money behind this, and CMP and their stockholders are reaping huge profits on Maine’s poor people.

If there is a need for more daylight in the morning for school children, then common sense tells you just begin school one hour ahead, right? Then Maine people would not have this unnecessary burden.
