Poland High School golfer Keegan Fennessy was awarded the Bill Cheverie Award, which is presented annually to the player in the Western Maine Conference with the best seasonal scoring average (in relation to par).

Fennessy, the Class B state champion, had a scoring average which was a full stroke better than his closest WMC rival from North Yarmouth Academy.

This award follows Fennessy’s state championship win at Natanis Golf Course a few weeks ago. The Poland senior shot a 2-under 70, which was three shots better than runnerups Chris Coffin of Presque Isle and Adam Packard of Falmouth.
