POLAND – Two teams were deadlocked for first place at the annual end-of-season Turkey Tournament held October 30 in perfect sunny weather at Summit Golf Course. The tourney continues the long tradition offered members by owners Bill and Lorraine Leonard free of charge with refreshments. The event also included presentation of seasonal awards in key events.

Winning free turkey certificates were the following teams: tied for top honors at 9-under, Milt Walker, Don Turmenne, Colleen Baird, Phil Cyr; and Ryan Leonard, Charlie Swett, Lori Plummer, Zac Turmenne.

Third at 8-under, Dale Lauzier, Tom Shupp, Art Moore, Bob Coffin; fourth, 7-under, Troy Plummer, Dan Kluchnik, Fran Lenehan, Betty Campbell.

The 2005 Summit Club Championship Award went to Rick Plummer of Mechanic Falls, with runner-up honor to Jason Lauzier of Sanford.

Plummer also won a color TV as winner of the 2005 Shoot-out event, with Dale Lauzier taking home a stereo CD player as runner-up.

The club also gave special thanks to Peggy Dupont and Marna Leighton for the preparation and colorful display of sandwiches and drinks for all of the players.

Wilson Lake

WILTON – Play is continuing at Wilson Lake at 10 a.m. daily. “The Not Ready For Winter Yet” scramble is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.
