PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Melvin E. “Kack” Olson, 85, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
He was born in Auburn, and was a resident of this area since 1999, coming from South Harpswell.
He worked for New England Telephone Co. for 30 years, entered the 1010th Army Air Force Unit in World War II and was a tail gunner and a staff sergeant.
Survivors include his son, Melvin Albert Olson, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter, Judy Lemberg, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and two sisters, Phyllis Jackson of Beverly Hills, Fla., and Barbara Sylvester of Auburn.
He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Louise Olson.
