PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) – A Portsmouth woman has been charged with negligent homicide after a car accident last month that killed a passenger in the stolen truck she was driving.

Police said Samantha Engelking, 22, had been drinking and was speeding when she slammed into a stone wall and tree in North Hampton Oct. 2.

The crash killed Richard Knowles, 52, of North Hampton, and landed Engelking and another passenger in the hospital.
