AUBURN – The Auburn Youth Hockey Tidal Waves and the Tornadoes skated to a 1-1 tie Friday night at Ingersoll Arena. Goalies Tynan Collins (Waves) and Kyle Radziszewski (Tornadoes) turned aside many close range shots. Kenton Ernest scored for the Waves, and Kealey Arnold for the Tornadoes.

Travelers Win 3

The Day’s Jewelers Peewee Travel Team earned 3 more wins in weekend action. Friday, Auburn blanked Kennebec 3-0 as Mariah Mosher goaled the shutout, making 10 saves. Garrett Van Wie tallied 2 goals and Dylan Nadeau the other. Receiving assists were Nadeau (2), Nathan Bergeron (3) and Evan Baggs.

Nadeau netted 4 more goals as Auburn beat Kennebec again Saturday, 5-1. Bergeron also lit the lamp and picked up 2 assists. Also assisting were Drew Lupardo (3), Ian Durgan and Matt Berube. Mosher stopped 11 shots.

Sunday in a much closer game, Auburn nipped Bangor 3-2. Van Wie collected 2 goals and an assist. Bergeron potted the odd goal, and Nadeau received 3 assists. Mosher was credited with 19 saves.
