FARMINGTON – The Foothills Arts Center invites community members to its annual meeting to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the organization’s office at 138 Pleasant St., next to Meetinghouse Park.

At the special meeting, the board of directors will hear a brief review of the year’s work, then take part in making plans for the future. A major portion of the meeting will focus on what community arts program people would like the center to offer.

The group will also talk about innovative ways to fund the programs. The board will update people on plans to raise money to build or buy a building to house the Foothills Arts Center – classrooms for lessons and rehearsals, a community art gallery and, eventually, a small theater.
