Norm Ferguson is probably my favorite Republican. However, I disagree with his letter, Nov. 9, which states that it is “irresponsible to think that increased costs to insurance companies won’t be passed on to the ratepayers.”
Where is it written that oil companies, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and Wal-Mart have to make billion-dollar profits while the middle class and, even more, the poor struggle to survive?
Yes, businesses deserve to make a reasonable profit. They should also be concerned about their customers, their country, the environment and the Earth that we all must learn to share, respect and preserve.
