PARIS – The Marketing/Distributive Education Classes of America students of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will host their 31st annual DECA Holiday Craft Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the high school, South Paris.

“We’re now open until 4, a half of an hour later than previous craft fairs,” said Co-Chairman Ben Ryerson.

“This year we have 150 different crafters, 30 which have been added in our B wing,” said Co-Chairwoman Meredith Vieira. “We will have a larger variety of items this year also, with items such as fabric, women’s handbags, herbs, stained glass, pewter, fudge, fine porcelain pottery, ice fishing tip-ups, baseball bat shelves, Christmas wreaths, different types of jewelry, and lots more,” said Ryerson and Vieira.

Other highlights will include an eating/resting area, a performance by the Viking Travel Choir from 11 a.m. to noon, pictures with Santa from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., free baby-sitting and more than 75 door prizes. Admissions is $1; 18 and under, free.

The fair is the culmination of a Marketing/DECA learning project, in which all 30 students in the program are involved. Law enforcement students help with parking, graphic arts students design and print posters, flyers and programs.

Proceeds benefit the activities of the DECA students, including their leadership conferences and state and national marketing competitions.
