FARMINGTON – The county’s budget committee is scheduled to review $4.5 million in requests Monday that are proposed to cover county government operations during 2006.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at the commissioners’ office at the Franklin County Superior Courthouse.

Franklin County commissioners have already reviewed the proposal and are tentatively recommending $4.4 million for a budget.

The current year’s budget is $4.18 million.

The initial spending proposal is $353,263 more than the 2005 budget.

The difference between commissioners’ recommendation and the existing budget is a $241,799 increase.
