LEWISTON – J. Frank Caron, 52, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his wife and family.

He was born on Jan. 21, 1953, in Lewiston, the son of Ulysses and Fernande Caron. He attended St. Peter’s and Lewiston High School.

Throughout the late ’70s, he was a boiler room operator at St. Mary’s Hospital, until illness rendered him unable to work.

Although illness was always a part of his life, Frank was able to keep a positive attitude and a sense of humor. He was a nonjudgmental person who had a live-and-let-live’ attitude.

He shared a love for his wife and family, and although he was never a dad, he treated his nieces and nephews as though they were his own.

Frank loved his family, sports – especially the Yankees, history, reading, family gatherings, his brother’s chicken soup and his pets.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Crowley) of 30 years, whom he married on Aug. 22, 1975; two brothers, Gerald Caron and his wife, Claudette, of Lewiston, and David Caron and his wife, Tammy, of Lewiston; a sister, Jackie MacKenzie, and her husband, Mac, of Las Vegas, Nev.; several nieces and nephews; extended family members too numerous to count; and his dog, Max.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Diane Caron, Joan Laliberte and Marianne Chamberlain; and his brothers, Dalton Caron, Nelson Caron and Richard Caron.

He was a gentle soul and will be greatly missed.
