MEXICO – Maine Educational Opportunity Center Adviser Christy Le will hold an “Essentials of College Planning” workshop from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the University College at Rumford/Mexico, 13 Brown St..

Adults considering college are invited to participate in the workshop. The center helps adult students overcome class, social, academic and cultural barriers to higher education.

Services include assistance in choosing a college, tutoring, personal and financial counseling, career counseling, assistance in applying to college, workplace and college visits and assistance in applying for financial aid.
