Worship service

PARIS – Marilyn Hammond will lead the 10 a.m. worship service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, on Sunday, Dec. 4.

The music will be offered by the choir and Forest Perkins, church organist. Renee Wales will direct the Sunday school. Child care is provided. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Church schedule

OTISFIELD – The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road, announces the following schedule for December:

Dec. 4: worship service at 10 a.m. All are welcome to participate in the celebration of Christmas with the sharing of communion, singing of traditional Christmas songs, the decorating of the church and a potluck dinner. Bring a casserole or salad and a place setting.

Dec. 11 and 18: worship service at 10 a.m. followed by special meetings of deacons and officers.

Dec. 24: annual Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m.

Dec. 25: worship service at 10 a.m.

Tree lighting

NORWAY – Norway Rehab and Living Center will hold its fifth annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. Residents are selling angels for $1 in honor or memory of a family member or friend. All proceeds will go to the Oxford Hills Homeless Teens Program.
